From July 1, 2023, Vietnam Airlines Restored Routes Across Indochina

Starting July 1, 2023, Vietnam Airlines  resumed its flights between Hanoi (Vietnam), Luang Prabang (Laos), and Siem Reap (Cambodia) and vice versa, providing enhanced connectivity for travelers in the region.

From July 1, National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines operated the Hanoi - Luang Prabang - Siem Reap route three times a week, specifically on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, utilizing Airbus A321 aircraft. Furthermore, from October 30th onwards, this air route frequency will be enhanced to five weekly flights.
After a temporary suspension caused by the pandemic, the reopening of these routes provides improved convenience for travelers exploring Indochina. Currently, Vietnam Airlines operates a trans-Indochina route connecting Hanoi, Vientiane, Phnom Penh, and Ho Chi Minh City with seven weekly flights. Therefore, this expanded and restored network allows travelers to discover the region's cultural treasures while enjoying smooth and seamless travel experiences.

With over 20 years of development, Vietnam Airlines has established itself as the leader in the aviation industry in Vietnam. It proudly represents Vietnamese national pride and holds a prominent position in the global network. In 2023, the airline continued to expand its route network and increase international flight frequencies. Noteworthy additions and changes include:
  • Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City to Mumbai (India) route, inaugurated on May 20.
  • Hanoi - Chengdu (China) route, reinstated on June 4.
  • Hanoi - Melbourne route, resumed on June 15.
Increased flight frequency on routes such as Da Nang - Narita, Hanoi - Fukuoka, Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City - Hong Kong, Hanoi - Singapore, Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City - Siem Reap, and Ho Chi Minh City - Sydney/Melbourne/Paris.
These strategic actions by Vietnam Airlines aim to cater to the travel demands of passengers, strengthen international connectivity, and support the recovery of the tourism industry in the region. From now on, travelers can expect greater ease and flexibility when exploring the cultural treasures of Vietnam and beyond.
