New Siem Reap Angkor International Airport (SAI) to Open on October 16, 2023

Cambodia's Siem Reap Angkor International Airport (SAI) is all set to open on October 16, 2023, marking a major milestone in the country's aviation sector. Conveniently located near Angkor Wat Temple, this US$880-million new airport will ensure seamless travel for international visitors. It can handle large aircraft and will have 38 gates for efficient operations.

The 24.5 km Airport Highway linking SAI to National Road 6 will be completed in September, further enhancing accessibility to the region's captivating attractions.
With initial plans to handle 58,000 flights and seven million passengers annually, SAI's capacity will grow significantly by 2030-2040. Moreover, the ongoing construction of Techo Takhmao International Airport will further bolster Cambodia's air travel capacity and improve global connectivity.
