This morning, we will attend a hands-on class cooking Vietnamese dishes. We walk with our chef to the Central Market to learn tips on picking fresh ingredients & bargain for the best price. We then cruise on Thu Bon River to reach a cooking school deep within the water coconut forest. On arrival, learn about Vietnamese veggies and herbs in preparation for 4 Vietnamese signature dishes. Enjoy lunch that you’ve prepared together in this very pleasant setting. Later, return to the hotel for a short rest.

At 4PM, we start the morning guided heritage walk through Hoi An Ancient Town. Visit the Japanese covered bridge, Chinese assembly hall, a typical Vietnamese merchant’s house, one of the interesting museums and the local market. There are numerous art galleries, souvenirs and tailor shops where you can get some express made-to-order clothes if you like.

We continue along both high streets and back streets discovering local street vendors making and selling a wide variety of exotic foods and taste local special dishes such as Cao Lau Noodles, Vietnamese sizzling pancake, Vietnamese Waterfern cake, Grilled meat skewers and the famous baguette stall. Later return to your hotel. This evening is at your leisure.

Then, you will embark on a captivating bamboo craftsmanship excursion (2.5 hours) under the guidance of a skilled artisan. He will share the cultural significance of bamboo and showcase a remarkable collection of creations, from cars and bikes to speakers and whimsical toys. Craft your own item under expert guidance, creating cherished memories and a personalized souvenir.

After that, coming to the Lantern Making workshop, dive into the hands-on experience of crafting your very own traditional Vietnamese lantern, a symbol of luck, happiness, and wealth. While the artisan will provide gentle guidance, you will be the artist behind your unique creation. By the end, you'll not only take home a beautiful lantern but also cherish the fun memories made and the new friends you'll meet along the way.

Have a local lunch at a restaurant and return to your hotel to enjoy your own free afternoon

Evening is free for you to explore this historic center at leisure. Dinner on your own.

Overnight in Hoi An

Early breakfast at the hotel. Our driver (no guide) will transfer you to Danang airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Arriving at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, drive 2 hours straight to Cu Chi tunnels. Lunch will be served at an organic farm near Cu Chi. After lunch, coming to the green farm, you will visit buffalo, cow, fish, and prawn areas. Explore mushroom cultivation, discovering its economic and health benefits. Visit herb, spice, and vegetable gardens, learning about their culinary and medicinal uses. 

After lunch, head out to Cu Chi tunnel. Visit the underground villages to better understand life in the tunnels and the Vietnamese’s resilience during the combats. Interact with a Vietnamese war veteran who shares with you his experiences. (upon his availability).

06:00 pm – Check-in your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, relax and freshen-up.

In the evening, you will take a glance of Ho Chi Minh’s nightlife with Scooter and professional rider, within 2 hrs. (From 19.30 to 21.30). 

We’ll drive you from the chaotic traffic of the city center to quiet corners of other districts such as 4, 5, and 8; from bustling streets to local and hidden eateries; from popular tourist spots to the most-trendy hanging-out places of Ho Chi Minh at night. We also get into the “foodie heaven” which is full of food stores and stalls as well as food carts with all kinds of street food for miles long. We make a few food stops for tasting local yet delicate treats such as stir-fried snails, rolling rice cakes and a local herbal drink. All will give you an experience of a lifetime. Overnight Saigon

Breakfast at the hotel and enjoy your last few hours till it is time for your transfer (no guide) to the airport for your departure flight home.
