DAY 1 ARRIVAL IN PHNOM PENH

Upon arrival at Phnom Penh airport, complete the immigration procedure and you will be welcomed by our guide and transferred to your hotel in the city center.
Accommodation: RoseWood Phnom Penh hotel, executive room.

DAY 2 PHNOM PENH’s PAST & PRESENT - SIEM REAP

Named ‘The Pearl of Asia’, there was a time not so long ago when Phnom Penh was considered the loveliest city of Indochina. Phnom Penh has retained much of its old-world charm as evident in the French colonial architecture and traditional ornate temples. Today, set off to encounter a part of the rich heritage, to gain an insight into Cambodian history and culture. Equipped with a provided digital tablet and headphones, you will discover the visited sites with a video, vintage photos, and commentary. The transformation of a fishing village into capital, the first urbanization on a French model, the lifestyle at the beginning of the 20th century, and the dark hours of the Khmer Rouge regime are all reported, offering a remarkable perspective encompassing both the present and the past of Phnom Penh.
Within 2 hours, this tour will take you to less common destinations for tourists such as Governor General’s House, Hokkien Chinese temple, Nagas Bridge, Wat Phnom, National Library, Railway Station, Central Market. Optional visit to the Tuol Sleng Museum.
In the afternoon, take a short flight to Siem Reap. Be greeted by our tour guide and go to your hotel in the city center.

DAY 3 EXPLORE ANGKOR HERITAGE SITES

Spend this day exploring Angkor's most beautiful temples. You are suggested to visit the West Gate of Angkor Thom Temple for less crowded. The next should be South Gate and Bayon Temple, then the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.
Finish the morning with Ta Prohm Temple that is embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers.
After lunch break, continue visiting the most famous temple of Angkor Wat which has been a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. If you feel pleasant with the weather, we suggest the last visit is to Banteay Kdei Temple which is also worth seeing, built in the mid-12th to early 13th centuries.

DAY 4 INSIDE SIEM REAP’S ART SCENE

Today, discover the artistic side of the charming Siem Reap by exploring some of the best art spaces. The first stop is the home studio of a well-known Khmer artist who has presented Khmer art around the world. You will be welcomed at his house which has been converted to a real working space and then be ready for a personalized tour around his exhibition and workshop.

Wind your way to a contemporary art space that aims to showcase contemporary art while nurturing local talent, cooperating with foreign institutions, and creating meaningful cross-cultural connections through the art. Meet with a local artist for a glimpse of the local art scene in Cambodia ranging from traditional art to contemporary art.

Later, check out the best photo galleries of an American photographer. Stroll around the gallery and get the chance to learn the stories behind all the photos and their characters.

OPTIONAL: Sunset Yacht Cruise on Tonle Sap Lake
Late this afternoon, set out on a relaxing and insightful sunset cruise on the lake. Observe the peaceful countryside life and beautiful scenery while the sun slowly sets over the lake. Glide on the waterway, take in the sunset and feel the scenery and peace of the traditional way of living on the water. The setting is timeless with houses on stilts and the sights and sounds of floating life all around.

DAY 5: SIEM REAP – DEPARTURE

After breakfast, you will be free until time for transfer to the airport for your next destination.
