PROGRAM

Day 1 Bangkok

Upon arrival at Bangkok airport, you will be greeted and transferred to the hotel. The glorious history of the capital of Thailand, Bangkok is closely linked to the Chakri dynasty that still reigns but does rule in Thailand. Check in at the hotel and free time for your relaxation.

Day 2 Bangkok – Khao Yai

After breakfast, we depart for Khao Yai, stopping to visit the fruit market in Klang Don, where many kinds of local products, fruits, and vegetables are on offer. You will then visit Khao Yai National Park, Thailand's first national park. Opened in 1962 and considered today as one of the most beautiful, Khao Yai is listed as a World Heritage Site because of the variety of its fauna and flora.. You will stroll through the heart of the park on the Haew SuWat waterfall trail. Check in at the hotel.
Overnight in Khao Yai.

Day 3 Khao Yai – Phimai – Korat

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the north and the capital of Isan: Nakhon Ratchasima, still called Korat by locals despite its new official name. Before reaching Korat, stop at Dan Kwian pottery village. Continue to Korat and city tour with a stop at the memorial of Thao Suranari (Lady Mo) built for a woman who fought the Laotian invasion in the 19th century.
In the afternoon, you will go north and visit the archaeological site of Ban Prasat, a remnant of one of the oldest cities in the country. Continue to the Phimai historical site and visit the beautiful Prasat Hin, and Sai Ngam and his giant ficus. Turn back to Korat and free time.

Day 4 Korat – Buriram – Surin

Depart for Buriram to visit Prasat Phanom Rung, one of Thailand's best-preserved Khmer relics. Explore Muang Tham, a nearby Khmer structure with intricate details. Then, head to Surin to discover its fascinating national museum, showcasing the region's history and diverse ethnicities.

Day 5 Surin – Khong Jiam

Visit Argentiere village (Ban Khwao Sinarin), explore the traditional and lesser-known Ban Sam Kho village, where silk fabrics are produced. Next, admire the Sikhoraphum temple, followed by a visit to the Kamphaeng Yai Khmer site. Lunch on your own, and continue to Kong Jiam, a city on the Mekong River.

Day 6 Khong Jiam – Mukdahan – Nakhon Phanom

Have breakfast and head to Mukdahan, a bustling border town with colorful markets where Laotian, Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese products are sold and exchanged. Mukdahan is known for its casinos, attracting Thai visitors. Explore diverse culinary experiences, including rice rat curry and unique dishes.
In the afternoon, continue to Nakhon Phanom, visit the significant Wat Phra That Phanom temple, and explore Ho Chi Minh's former residence in the village of Ban Na Chok. Check in to your hotel by the Mekong River in Nakhon Phanom.

Day 7 Nakhon Phanom – Sakhon Nakhon – Udon Thani

After breakfast, visit Sakon Nakhon to take part in the sacred thread ceremony, where a monk ties a thread around your wrist for good luck and protection. Explore the traditional pottery and weaving village of Ban Chiang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover bamboo weaving in Dong Yen Village and pottery painting in Baan Pulu.
In the afternoon, travel to Udon Thani and visit the "Red Lotus Sea" (Talay Bua Daeng), where a lake blooms with red lotus flowers from December to February. Enjoy a boat trip through this stunning natural display.
Overnight in Udon Thani.
