Overview

Known as a treasure of biodiversity, Nam Cat Tien National Park is home to some of the world's most endangered species. It is one of the largest nature reserves in Vietnam. Join us by immersing yourself into wildlife (including hundreds of species of mammals, reptiles, birds and fish. Primates are particularly prevalent, especially gibbons and langurs, as are Asian elephants, clouded leopards and sun bears) by experiencing interesting outdoor activities including a jungle trek and a nocturnal wildlife exploration.

DAY 1 HO CHI MINH CITY – NAM CAT TIEN (155km (96.3 mi) ~ 3.5-hour drive)

Morning departure for a three hour and a half drive from Ho Chi Minh City towards the lush forest of Nam Cat Tien National Park, one of Vietnam’s top national parks. After crossing to the other side of the Dong Nai River by local ferry, you will arrive into Nam Cat Tien National Park at lunch time.

Be ready for a short trek through the jungle to observe wildlife up close. Staying inside the National Park, you will have an exciting night excursion deep into the park using a spotlight to watch nocturnal wildlife.

DAY 2 NAM CAT TIEN-HO CHI MINH CITY (155km (96.3 mi) ~ 3.5-hour drive)

Rise early surrounded by nature and animals and get ready for another exploration of wildlife by taking another short trek around the Dao Tien Endangered Primate Species Centre, founded in 2007, to support the conservation of endangered primates of South Vietnam with the aim of returning them to the wild. Nam Cat Tien National Park is home to several species of gibbons, including the gold-cheeked gibbons and black-shanked douc.

Visit the Bear Rescue Centre to learn about the project of caring for injured bears. As a result of intensive care, the bears in rescue stations become quite vivacious and energetic. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City after lunch.
