PROGRAM

DAY 1 ARRIVAL IN HO CHI MINH CITY (SAIGON)

Arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, greeted by our representative and transfer to your hotel in the city center for check-in and a well-earned rest (official check in time is 14.00, early check in is subject to availability and chargeable)

This evening, you will savor Vietnamese Cuisine at Asia Best’s Restaurant – Anan. The mastermind behind the restaurant's success is Chef Peter Cuong Franklin, who has honed his skills in some of the world's most prestigious kitchens before returning to his homeland to open Anan. Chef Peter has crafted a menu that showcases the best of Vietnamese cuisine while also incorporating his own twist on classic dishes.

Some of the standout items on the menu include the Vietnamese Street Food Platter, which features a selection of small bites commonly found on the streets of Saigon, and the Crispy Pork Belly with Tamarind Caramel, a dish that perfectly balances savory and sweet flavors.

DAY 2 VISIT CU CHI TUNNELS BY SPEED BOAT

Pick up at your hotel for a short drive to Saigon Pier for Cu Chi tunnels by private speed boat. When on board, enjoy the fresh air and see the daily life of local citizens living along the river’s banks. Arrive at the Cu Chi Tunnels and get an introduction to the site by watching a documentary film about one of the most sophisticated man-made tunnel networks together with its extraordinary wartime legends. Later, walk in the jungle and visit the traps, the secret entrances, the bunkers, and underground hideouts. You can crawl into the tunnels and experience them for yourself. Upon finishing the Cu Chi tour, drive back to Saigon and enjoy lunch at Hoi An Sense Restaurant. Return to your hotel after lunch and spend your afternoon at leisure.

OPTIONAL A O SHOW
  • Tonight, enjoy the A O Show (Ahh! Ohh! Show) which depicts the charming beauty and cultural richness of Southern Vietnamese life in the countryside, in contrast with the nation’s racing urbanization. Performed on the stage of the Saigon Opera House, a perfect example of French colonial style circa 1900, this 60-minute show is a unique mix of bamboo cirque, acrobatic acts, contemporary dance, and live music, plus the creative use of bamboo and rattan props from ordinary life. All these elements harmonize to capture the essence of Vietnam’s fascinating culture.

DAY 3 INSIGHT OF MEKONG DELTA

Set off for the Mekong Delta, after a pleasant 2 hours pleasant drive, we arrive at Ben Tre (home for coconuts). Hop on our charming motorized boat on Ben Tre River – one of the tributaries of Mekong River while sight-seeing lively activities along the river as fishing, water plugging into rice fields. Our outdoor activities including visit to a brick kiln to see how to make bricks traditionally by forming and baking; visit a coconut processing workshops located along canal, boat rowing through lush green water coconut canal; motorized cart (tuk tuk) drive through shady paths, green rice fields and vegetable plains to be able to touch on real life and find out about tropical culture from peasants. Don’t miss a chance to visit a local family that lives on sticky rice making share with him about tradition and daily life of local families. 
Have lunch with Mekong specialties at the scenic Mango Home Riverside Restaurant, then we go back to Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 4 HO CHI MINH CITY – DA NANG- HOI AN

Take a short transfer to the airport for a midmorning flight to Da Nang. Be greeted by our guide and go to the most luxurious and beautiful beach resort that is some kilometers from Hoi An Ancient Town.  

In the later afternoon, venture to Hoi An’s outskirts to engage with an independent writer, artist, and researcher, who specializes in the Cham culture and contributes to preserve and introduce this unique culture to international friends. In order to get an in-depth knowledge of Cham history and culture, explore her private Cham culture space which is home to daily utensils, objects, instruments, and costumes of the Cham people. She will offer you a unique insight into this formerly powerful civilization. Enjoy Champa dance performances from the lost Kingdom and then return to your resort or take further strolling in the downtown of Hoi An.

DAY 5 EXPLORE HOI AN CHARMING HERITAGE TOWN IN A DIFFERENT WAY

As you are in Hoi An Heritage Town, why not explore the places in a different way? We suggest you pretend to be a Vietnamese by dressing up in Ao Dai and explore the Hoi An Ancient Town on foot. You will look elegant and great in our traditional costumes which are considered as one of the symbols of Vietnamese culture. The Ao Dai (traditional Vietnamese long dress) has carried its national identity and spirit, and has never lost its unique vitality, since its creation. Ao Dai is always paired with a conical leaf white hat, and you are Vietnamese and attract friendly greetings from every local. 
Explore its highlights such as old merchant houses with influences from Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese architecture; the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, first built in the 1590s by the Japanese community to link them with the Chinese quarters across the stream; the Assembly Hall of the Chaozhou Chinese Congregation with its intricate wood carvings. Zigzag through scenic narrow streets and alleys that offer you great photo opportunities with the beautiful background of yellow walls or local life.
Lastly, take a break at a boutique café house to enjoy the peace and charm of the town.

OPTIONAL: Romantic Dinner on Bamboo Raft 
At twilight, take a short drive from the hustle and bustle downtown of Hoi An to its countryside, surrounded by peaceful villages, idyllic rivers, and lush water coconut palms. Board a Vietnamese basket boat floating on the Co Co River to reach the floating stationary bamboo raft where you will dine privately. Indulge yourself in a relaxing BBQ meal while enjoying a sparkling river with a glassy surface under the sunset and lush water coconut palms. Can’t you wait for this is unique experience on your trip?

DAY 6 HOI AN AND YOUR FANCY

A leisure day on your own, but we are at your disposal for any assistance of further visits.

OPTIONAL:
1.  Explore My Son Holy Land by American Jeep 
Depart from downtown Hoi An for a scenic 1.5-hour drive by jeep to The UNESCO World Heritage Centre of My Son. My Son used to be the prosperous capital of Champa civilization, dominated in Central Vietnam from 2nd to 13th Century. Stroll around the temple complex, rediscovered in the late 19th century where you will have a great opportunity to learn about the fascinating Cham culture, architecture, and civilization. After exploring the My Son complex, drive back to downtown Hoi An, passing by the peaceful countryside landscape. Have your camera ready for capturing some beautiful photos.

2. Hoi An Memories Show 
At round sunset, be picked up at your resort Hoi An downtown to participate in an artistic demonstration telling the 400-year-old story of Hoi An with all of its grace and prosperity. 

Known as a colorful and musically dazzling night show, “Hoi An Memories show” recalls the memories of Hoi An as a busy trading port in Southeast Asia with a history stretching back over more than 400 years. Thanks to the participation of 500 actors, this country’s largest-ever outdoor visual arts performance includes folk and contemporary dances as well as ballet, along with state-of-the-art lighting technology and sophisticated sound effects, offering an insight into the culture and history of Hoi An town.

DAY 7 HOI AN - HUE BY LAND (130km ~ 2.5 hours)

After Being picked up by our private driver, we leave the beautiful place to another very charming place, Hue, former Imperial City where the last feudal dynasty of Vietnam was last in 1945 after 143 years of reign. 
While imperial rule ended more than seven decades ago, the central city of Hue still bears the mark of its royal past by the magnificent architecture of its citadel, palaces, royal tombs, pagodas, and temples. Spend a half-day visiting the Imperial Citadel at the center of the Complex of Hue Monuments inscribed by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. And then drive out of the city to visit the Royal Tu Duc tomb, the most impressive of all the royal mausoleums. After exploring the tomb, drive back to downtown Hue with a stop en route at a family-run workshop to learn how incense stick is made.

DAY 8 HUE - HANOI BY AIR (60mins flight)

Together with splendid emperors’ tombs, ancient pagodas, and the remains of the Citadel, the garden houses in Hue with their original architecture are a great feature for a prosperous feudal dynasty of Vietnam from the 17th to the 19th century. Built based on the "Feng Shui" principle, the charming garden houses in Hue were the great living place of mandarins and royal relatives under the Nguyen dynasty. 
After breakfast, drive to An Hien Garden House originally the residence of Emperor Duc Duc’s 18th daughter. Continue to another great example of the garden house, the former home of Princess Ngoc Son. Tour around the house while the host will share with you some stories about the house as well as her ancestor. After exploring the garden home, return to your hotel for check out.
Our private car awaits to bring you to Phu Bai airport for flight to Hanoi. 
Upon arrival in the Hanoi capital, be greeted by our representative and go to your hotel in the city center.

DAY 9 HANOI’S SIGHTS AND SOUNDS

Leisurely enjoy your breakfast at the hotel, then be ready for a half day exploration of Hanoi. We do not aim to show you all sites and corners of our city but at least you will see the most highlights that present the city. 
The city of Hanoi in which the history and culture of Vietnam are clearly on display. Visit the Temple of Literature, the first university of Vietnam, which constitutes a rare example of well-preserved traditional Vietnamese architecture, pass by Ba Dinh square for quick view of Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum before reaching the “Hanoi Hilton” well-known as one of the most inhumane prisons with terrified punishment. Hoa Lo Prison, or Maison Central, is a symbol of strong will of prisoners and their sacrifice for their communist ideals. Enjoy a cyclo (rickshaw) ride around the Old Quarter streets that were named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places. Cap off your trip by wandering around the scenic Hoan Kiem Lake “Lake of the Returned Sword”, to learn about the legend of the lake and history of the city of Hanoi.

Hanoi after dark is completely different from what you see in the daytime. A night of fun and amazement starts with a drive through the bustling streets, narrow alleys, important monuments, beautiful tree-lined avenues all with a rich hidden history and tradition. Be sure you come with an empty stomach because during your journey, you will stop to enjoy some of the local specialties that are only found in Hanoi. Go deep into the nightlife while being driven to local bars and lounges where the young generation and even the older people come to unwind and flaunt their unique styles.

DAY 10 HANOI – HALONG BAY (~165km ~2 hours drive)

Today we travel through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the rice field landscapes, water buffaloes and Vietnamese villages to HaLong Bay, one of the World Natural Heritages recognized by the UNESCO with over 3,000 spectacular limestone islands rising from the clear, emerald sea in the Gulf of Tonkin. Arrival at the port around noon, check in your luxurious cruise. Enjoy a welcome drink before checking into your cabin. While the boat is going through many rocky islets, caves, fish farms and beaches, your lunch will be served on board with fresh seafood. Explore one of the most beautiful caves in the bay. Free time afterwards for swimming or relaxing on the sundeck. Later, the boat moves to a quiet area to dock for an overnight stay. Dinner with Vietnamese food is served on board.

DAY 11 HALONG BAY- HANOI (165 km ~ 2 hour drive)

Wake up early to enjoy the dawn and start a perfect new day with Tai Chi exercise on the sundeck or enjoy the breath-taking views of the bay while the boat cruises leisurely in Ha Long Bay. 
Breakfast or brunch is served while the boat cruises back from Ha Long Bay. The cruise disembarks at early noon and our private driver is ready to bring you back to Hanoi.

DAY 12 HANOI - DEPARTURE (30 km ~ 30 mins drive)

Your private driver awaits you at the hotel after breakfast and escorts you to Hanoi International Airport where you board your flight home or travel on to more adventures.
